Hi guys! Today's post is going to be very chatty and informal as I am going to be talking about what is happening in my life/blogging world right now.
I have decided to blog once a week, every Sunday and posts will be going up at 6pm. I also have blogger interviews starting in October, and they will be going up every Wednesday at 10am.
The decision to blog once a week was not a decision taken lightly, believe me. I worried about my regular readers a lot, but ultimately I decided this was best for me. As a few of you may know, I started university on the 11th September, and it has already been pretty full on - I had a presentation and a 1500 word essay to submit. I know it's only going to get more difficult from now so I decided to cut my time down to one/two days a week.
I've also lost my motivation with blogging - this is something which happens to every blogger at some point, but it was really upsetting me. I don't always have the time to schedule tweets, I feel like the content in my posts isn't as good as it used to be and I'm not gaining as many views. On good days, I would average about 200-300 views a day, however now sometimes I'm nowhere near 100. So, to be proactive with this abysmal state of affairs, I have decided to cut down my blogging to one day a week. This will give me time to do university work, schedule tweets and get my blog back where it was!!
In regards to my life, I am having a great few weeks! I have started university, - and I will have a post about why I went to college for a year and not straight to university up soon - I have made more of an effort to keep in touch with friends who I don't see everyday, I have been seeing family a lot more, I have cut all toxic people out of my life and I'm just feeling great. Every other aspect of my life has been going well apart from my blog. I really really hope things improve as I adore blogging, and I love knowing as many people as possible are reading my blog, and I'd like to think people like and enjoy reading my posts.
Hope you've all had a great day. I am thankful for each and every one of you. Ashleigh♡xoxo

Since Autumn officially starts today, at 21:02 to be exact, I thought I should do a post on what I love about Autumn! I love Spring, Summer and Winter so much, but there's something about Autumn I love!!
1. The crunchy leaves and how beautiful they look on the ground!
1. The crunchy leaves and how beautiful they look on the ground!
I love how vibrant the colours are and how pretty they look! I live for seeing Autumn leaves!
2. Costa hot chocolate *heart eyes*. I hate coffee with a passion and I am not a massive fan of the Pumpkin Spiced Latte that everyone else is obsessed with.
3. Pumpkin pie! I have a family member who is American, and we do Thanksgiving the American way, and I love pumpkin pie!!
4. Autumn makeup looks! Like everyone, I love doing my makeup in summer. I love the "out-there" eyeshadow looks, I love the glossy lips and tanned skin but I love how in Autumn, you can do a bold red lip and simple eyeliner, and it just looks really classy.
5. Warm clothes! We never had much of a summer, but I am so done with trying to dress for clammy weather while also preparing for torrential rain! I love wearing fluffy jumpers, skirts and tights.
6. Halloween! This goes without saying. Also, it's completely acceptable to watch the Nightmare Before Christmas, as it's a Halloween and Christmas film.
7. Bake Off is back! It may not be the BBC version, but it's still good, with the same format. Watching Bake Off makes me so excited for Autumn and Winter.
8. Collecting conkers! When I was younger my mum took me to a park and I found as many conkers as I could. I can't really remember anything else about this day but I loved collecting conkers, and I done it until I was 10, and now my sisters follow suit!
9. Cosying up by the fire! One of my favourite memories is staying at my grans house and putting on my cosiest pyjamas after a bath, and sitting by the fire watching Aladdin. Now, it's usually that I read by the fire in my cosy pyjamas after a bath!
10. I go for baths much more. I hate baths, especially in the summer as I'm usually hot and clammy already, and there's nothing worse to me than going for a warm bath after already being too warm. However, once it gets colder, I am all up for going into warm baths with a nice Lush bath bomb!
How are you enjoying Autumn? Ashleigh♡xoxo
Hi guys! I feel like I wouldn't be a girl who loves makeup and spends all of her time on social media if there wasn't a few beauty products that I bought solely because of the buzz on social media. Some of these products I really regret and some have reached holy grail status (that is a hint!)
The first beauty product I have bought because of buzz on social media is "Velvet Teddy" from MAC. Velvet Teddy is a beautiful matte brown beige shade, which is creamy on the lips and not at all drying. It is not very long lasting and I feel that t has to be reapplied every few hours, which doesn't bother me personally. I originally bought this because it is a gorgeous nude shade, unlike any I have seen before, and it was all over my Instagram as "the lipstick worn by Kylie Jenner". However, there are many affordable dupes out there of higher-end lipsticks and you can find these by googling "dupes for Velvet Teddy". You can get this lipstick on the MAC website.
Another beauty product I got as a result of social media hype is my Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara and I have a really unpopular opinion of this mascara! I just did not get on well at all with this mascara and I found it really thick and clumpy. It went clumpy in the tube after about a month, and I found it so hard to apply. I also didn't find that it made my eyelashes a lot longer, and I feel that was underwhelming.
The last product I am going to talk about it that I bought is my Violet Voss Holy Grail palette and I am in love with it! I done my first two posts on it - so if you want to read more about this palette then click here and here. I love love love how pigmented and pretty this palette is and I would highly recommend it!
Thank you for reading!! Do you have any products that social media made you buy? Ashleigh♡xoxo

Hi guys! While I was in Italy I picked up the Sephora Cinescope Mascara, and my feelings are mixed about this.
You can get this mascara here, the only link I could find was for Sephora Australia but you can get it in any Sephora store. I paid 15 euros 90 for mine and it is described online as "Unveiling Cinescope Mascara! Shall we discuss what the TV advert will look like? Close-up on the volume effect, panoramic tracking shot on the eyes from right to left, and lashes that unfurl like never before. You have to admit we’ve pulled out all the stops. A new, magic brush that catches every lash, separating them one by one and coating them with a new formula. The result: A panoramic effect that multiplies the lashes and reveals a wonderful fringe of eyelashes spread out like a fan. Try it!" and my problem with this mascara is that my lashes look as long with any other mascara so I don't find it extraordinary.
This is my lashes without mascara. I've not curled them or done anything to them, so the result doesn't come out differently. As you can see, my lashes are painfully annoying and naturally gravitate to the sides of my eyes.
My lashes after one coat of mascara, not curled. I would say my lashes look this long with any other mascara.
After two coats is where I noticed a lot of length. However, again I feel like I'd see this with any other mascara.
All in all, I would repurchase this mascara as a decent everyday mascara but I wouldn't recommend this if you want really long lashes. I think this is good value for money, as it works out at around £14, which is roughly what I'd spend on a mascara. The brush also coats all of my lashes which is something that rarely happens for me and as a result I am so happy with that.
Have you ever tried any Sephora Collection products? Let me know!

Hi guys! Last month I stayed in Edinburgh for a night with my friend to see a few shows at the Fringe, and I thought I'd do a post on what I brought with me. I actually meant to do this after I came back, but I was away to Italy the day after and it just slipped my mind!
We stayed in Haymarket, and this was so good as we were close enough to what was going on, but we were also literally around the corner from Haymarket train station, which meant there wasn't a lot of carrying our bags!
It looks like I packed so much, but I actually didn't as a lot of the toiletries went into my London Accesorize bag which I think has been discontinued, but you can get a small London bag here. This is the same size as mine and it gives you an idea of what I was able to fit into it! In this bag, I put my Collection sheer loose powder, my Real Techniques Duo-Fibre powder brush (which I got in a set), my Collection Illminating Touch concealer, Maybelline's The Falsies Push Up Drama mascara, my MeechNMia browliner, a Rimmel eyeliner (which I can't remember the name of but it is just a black eyeliner), and my Maybelline Brow Drama clear brow sculpting mascara in this bag. I also kept my cotton wool balls in here.
For skincare, I packed my Soap and Glory face wash, which has become a staple in my skincare routine (you can read more about this wash here and here). I also took my Boots Tee Tree and Witch Hazel toner, which has almost ran out, my Superdrug Naturally Radiant 2-in-1 Moisturiser and Serum, my Soltan face suncream, my Boots Tea Tree and Witch Hazel night treatment gel and my BalanceMe Micellar Water (which I brought instead of my Garnier one as it is smaller!). I also brought my Snow Fairy shower gel which only comes out at Christmas.
For general things, I brought my hairbrush (which I picked up in Primark), a portable charger, (again, Primark), a planner/diary, a highlighter and a pen.
For clothes, I packed my "Let's Brunch" T-Shirt and a pair of blue jeans.
I had a lovely time in Edinburgh and I absolutely loved the Fringe!

Hi guys! So today's post is a little different but with the colder weather coming in, nothing is better than a nice, warm brownie. Today I thought I'd show you guys what simple ingredient I add to my boxed cake mix.
![]() |
My Betty Crocker Chocolate Fudge Brownie Mix, a bar of Dairy Milk Chocolate, a glass of water, a tablespoon of oil and eggs. |
![]() |
The ingredients in the mixing bowl. I used all of the Dairy Milk, all of the cake mix, one egg, all of the water and all of the oil and mixed. |

The finished mixed product! It doesn't matter if there are lumps in it. |

My mixture on a baking tray, then I put them in the oven for 20 minutes. |
Metallic lips is a trend I never thought I would embrace, but it is. After seeing Sleek brought out three metallic Matte Me's, I decided I'd pick one up and see what the fuss is about! The Matte Me's are all available here.
The shade I got was "Rusted Rose" and is a beautiful red with silver and purple undertones, making it look metallic. To pick up the full pigmentation and metallic-ness, you need a good few coats of this stuff. However, you could easily use it after one coat for a more subtle look.
This is it after three coats and me not using a liner. It looks a lot more subtle on camera, however IRL it looks extremely metallic, especially when on the centre of my lips.
Overall, I'm not fussed on this lip colour/trend. I think it looks really cool for a festival but I can't see me wearing it to the shops. The shade itself is't very pigmented and is quite watery, overall I'd give this formula a two out of five!
Is metallic lips a trend you'd get on board with? Ashleigh♡xoxo
Hi guys! I purchased a Primark 'Vintage' eyeshadow and a Primark Super Matte lip cream in the shade 'Kendra'. I really hope these products work well, as they are super cheap and I'd love them to work well!
The eyeshadow palette cost me £2.50, which is brilliant value as this works out as 27p per eyeshadow! The colours are all beautiful as well, which made me so desperate to see how they perform.
The eyeshadows swatch a lot better than I expected and I was so happy to see this. They don't appear amazingly pigmented but they do have some pigment to them and there are some beautiful colours in this palette.
However, then I done the above eye makeup look using the top right colour in my crease, the middle brown colour on my lid and my MUA Undress Your Skin liquid highlighter in the shade 'Oyster' to highlight and add a pop of shimmer to my lid, and oh my God *heart eyes*. I am even more in love with this palette and it is such a steal for £2.50!
I also picked up this beautiful lipstick in the shade "Kendra". This colour is very true to the colour in the tube, it is a beautiful muted red shade with terracotta undertones and I am so pleased with it.
And here is the colour compared to my Matte Me in the shade 'Birthday Suit'. 'Kendra' is unlike any other colour I've worn and I am so excited to see how it performs!
I have to say, I am underwhelmed with this. It sinks into my lines, which is a shame as it is such a pretty colour.
Have you ever tried Primark's makeup range? Ashleigh♡xoxo
Hola chicas! I've recently been feeling down myself the past week (for no particular reason), and here are some tips that I've used to make myself feel a bit better!
1. Read a good book.
This is my favourite tip for everything! I love reading, and I'm currently reading My Cousin Rachel by Daphne du Maurier. I love this book as it is so different to what I usually read, and I find it so easy to get lost in! My favourite books are the ones you get lost in, and this is definitely one for me!
2. Watch a movie or a TV show you've been meaning to watch.
I think we're all a bit guilty of meaning to watch things but putting it off because you find something more interesting! I've been meaning to watch Once Upon A Time for a literal year now, and I have just never gotten round to it! Even though I still have made no progress with that, I stopped watching Suits (I genuinely have no clue why as it's getting really interesting!) and now I am on track to finish season six and season seven. Doing little jobs like that makes me feel so accomplished, no matter how I feel on the inside, which leads me on to my third point..
3. Tick off something on your to-do list!
I can't be the only person who feels ten times better about myself when I do a little task I have set myself for the day. Even if it's something as silly as "buy bread and milk", the feeling of satisfaction you get when you're able to tick off a little job is so worth it!
4. Go in for a nice, long bath.
This is something I hate doing when it's warm and gross outside, but when it's getting cooler I live for nice baths! I love using a nice bath bomb, and just relaxing for a while. My all time favourite bath bomb is Avobath from Lush!
5. Put on a nice, relaxing playlist.
My all time favourite playlist for relaxing can be found here. I love putting on a good playlist and just blogging.
I hope some of these helped! Let me know in the comments what your favourite self-care tips are! Ashleigh♡♡xoxo

SOAP AND GLORY WHAT A PEELING! DE-CLOG FACE MASK REVIEW
Hello guys and happy Friday!
On Wednesday I finally caved and bought myself the Soap & Glory De-clogging face mask and I thought I'd do a review on it.
The actual mask is a really runny consistency, which is pretty difficult to apply. I actually gave up using the spatula and instead used my hands. It's a bright pink colour, which is so fun and girly. I've never seen a pink face mask before and using it was so fun! It also smells terrible, my eyes couldn't stop watering while using this but I persevered for the blog!
The instructions tell you to keep this on for 20-25 minutes, which I done and OH MY LORD my skin you guys. My skin is super soft!!! And the stubborn blackheads on my nose have gone!! This mask is a genuine lifesaver and I highly recommend it.
Thank you for reading, Ashleigh♡xoxo
On Wednesday I finally caved and bought myself the Soap & Glory De-clogging face mask and I thought I'd do a review on it.
On the Soap and Glory website, they describe this mask as "Just like you, this peel-off mask is totally hard pore. Liquid gel transforms into the lift-off paper strip to smooth, purify and remove all gunk and junk (including blackheads, ew) in one go – it’s so a-peeling! Our multi-tasking mask is power-packed with 10 amazing ingredients including:
Kaolin and Bentonite Fine Clay Powders to help absorb excess oil
White Willow Bark to help oil skin
Vitamin C to boost tired complexions
Scented with exotic tropical fruit" and you can read more here.
First off, packaging. I'd give this a solid five out of five. I love all of Soap and Glory's packaging so much, and I think they've hit the nail on the head with this packaging! It's pretty and showcases what the product does on the front, plus it shows you where the mask is contained (in those two little black pods!) The only thing that I felt was unclear was that there are two masks inside, as I thought the two pods were ingredients to mix your own mask. The actual mask is a really runny consistency, which is pretty difficult to apply. I actually gave up using the spatula and instead used my hands.
